Track of the week: Behind The Within

This week’s selection for the track of the week comes from a good friend and beautiful human, Gavin Griffin.

Gavin co-runs Meanwhile Recordings, one of the top progressive house labels in the world. He has been producing under his GMJ moniker since 2008.

More recently he has begun release ambient/ downtempo tracks under a new alias, Qiam.

“Behind the Within” is the most recent offering from Qiam. It is a thoughtful, emotional number. Beginning with a subtle pad, the track evolves continuously with beautiful, haunting synths, hints of percussion that come and go and vocal chants that show up from time to time.

Perfect as a set opener, chilling at home or in a wind down savasana after a slow yin yoga practice.
